If my life journey has taught me one thing, it is that the student may one day become the teacher.

I have dedicated the last twenty years of my life to seeking health solutions: first within my own family, and later with clients in my private practice.

I did not set out to become a nutritional counselor or an integrative practitioner. I followed a typical path: I went to college and became a banker and later, a portfolio risk manager. But life had something else in store for me.

My son’s illness at a young age forced me to start looking at lifestyle and nutrition, and their interrelationship with environmental stressors. Once I got started, I could not stop. My analytical mind made connections that compelled me to continue studying, and case by case, I began to build a body of work that that transcended basic functional and nutritional protocols to address health through a complete and holistic lens with sustainability at its core.

This work became my unique proprietary method and life legacy, The Cochrane Method®.

When someone would ask me “What are you an expert in? ” I would say: I’m an expert in body.

This year marks the twenty-year anniversary of my private practice, where I have seen the resolution of thousands of cases and helped individuals of all types reach and sustain their optimal state of health.

Whether you’re a professional athlete with a recurring injury, or a CEO of a company grappling with burnout, a woman who is trying to get pregnant, or a child who has been told that they have PANDAS, my method offers a unique health trajectory for restoration and sustained wellness—treating the whole person and not just the symptom.

As a result of my years of research and client results, I have been tapped by leading health professionals as a pioneer in the world of personalized health precisely because of the nuance with which I look at the body and how our environment influences our individual tendencies. My body of work indicates that we have to look beyond the symptom to understand the deeper why driving a condition, from an individual’s musculoskeletal makeup, to their emotional and physiological history, to the demands of their particular environment and its effect upon their epigenetic tendencies. With a system-of-systems approach, effective, holistic and lasting solutions are achievable.

Although at my practice we like to graduate our clients, I have also had clients for over a decade. To see the trajectory, especially in children, of sustained health, cognitive clarity and physical strength in the same individuals who arrived sick, imbalanced and veering towards a constrained, limited life is a personal joy and evidential of the efficacy that a sustainable health practice provides.

As these twenty years spent in my private practice have advanced, my method has grown increasingly refined, even as the health challenges our communities face have become more convoluted, and environmental stressors more acute and more widespread. I have found myself in the unique position of having developed an effective method for understanding and correcting the imbalances created by these challenges, even where others have faltered. As a result, I have had clients at various vectors of influence, from corporations to professional singers and athletes prompting me, “When are you going to put a program together?”, and professionals in the functional health space asking, “How can I learn from you?”

I began to notice blind spots and gaping holes in the traditional, popular health models we ascribe to, from diagnostic practices to diet and supplementation plans —having come from a corporate arena, I know that even their wellness programs are lacking. Little by little, I began to come to a realization: that my mission is bigger than treating one person at a time.

Now more than ever, as we meet the demands of this novel season, we must seek to be optimally and sustainably healthy. The Global Sustainable Health Institute is my way of extending my platform to meet this challenge, making my accumulated knowledge, insights and my hard-won methodology as a dedicated researcher, a practitioner and a mother available not only to one, but to many.

The path to sustainable health lives here. Welcome: let’s get started.
